Loan Officer Assistant

Job Description

We are currently looking for experienced Loan Officer Assistants to provide clerical and customer service support to assigned Mortgage Loan Originators at our Cottonwood Office.

Responsibilities

A loan officer assistant is responsible for keeping all clients up to date, helping the Loan Officers to manage their current pipelines, stay organized, follow up with borrowers and track down unfinished loan documents as well as general assisting duties as required.  Position also consists of data entry and preparing files for processing.  Some marketing to database and referral partners.

Qualifications

Bachelor or associates degree required, preferred English/Communications/Marketing related major. 3+ years’ professional work experience in similar capacity (administrative, clerical, marketing). This candidate must have Utah-DRE Mortgage Loan Originator License, or willingness and ability to complete required education and obtain license in first 90 days of employment. Experience in the mortgage/real estate industry a plus. Our ideal candidate will have great attention to detail, excellent customer service and teamwork skills, demonstrated written and verbal skills, and be adaptable. Underwriter

Job Description

We are currently looking for an experienced Mortgage Underwriter to work full-time in our Salt Lake/Corporate Office.

Responsibilities

Underwrite to lending standards and guidelines for FHA, VA, Conventional, USDA, and State Bond loans.  Initial underwriting analysis.  Review credit, income, assets/liabilities, appraisal, etc. to determine acceptable risk tolerance are met per agency/investor guidelines.  Approve or deny mortgage loan applications per guidelines, or request additional information.  Review and evaluate information on mortgage loan documents to determine buyer, property, and loan conditions meet established loan programs.  Review files for underwriting conditions while maintaining company standards of turn times.  Underwrite and manage loan documents inside of Encompass to ensure the loan includes all required documents as needed by agencies and investors.

Qualifications

3+ years experience as a mortgage underwriter, preferably in a Correspondent setting. Strong understanding of FHA, VA, Conventional, USDA, and State Housing loan programs.  Experience working in Encompass Banker 360 (Loan Operating System).  Excellent computer skills; able to use and create spreadsheets, etc.  Problem solving skills; able to research guidelines, solutions, and self-manage.  Positive attitude and excellent work ethic are a must.

Shipper

We are currently looking for an experienced Mortgage Loan Shipper to work full-time in our Salt Lake/Corporate Office.

Responsibilities

Prepare mortgage loan files to be sent to the appropriate investor, per the requirements for review in purchase, in a timely manner.

Qualifications

Mortgage shipping experience a plus.  Experience working in Encompass 360 (Loan Origination System) and excellent computer skills. Strong communication, organization, and time management skills.  Dependable, team player with a positive attitude and excellent work ethic who is willing to work with others.  Strong verbal and written communication skills.  Quick learner, ability to retain information easily.

Processor

Job Description

We are currently looking for experienced Mortgage Loan Processors to work full-time in our Cottonwood office, Layton office, and Sandy office.

Responsibilities

Works with loan officer to verify accuracy and completeness of loan application and documentation. Review loan files for accuracy prior to initial loan disclosures being sent to the borrower by the disclosure department, evaluate and calculate income, verify employment, assets, review purchase contracts, contact/update the loan officer, borrower(s), agent(s), and other parties involved throughout the process. Manage a pipeline of 20-30, consistently closing 12-15 loans each month.

Qualifications

3+ years of processing experience, preferably in a Correspondent setting. Strong understanding of FHA, VA, Conventional, USDA, & Utah Housing loan programs. Loan Originator

Job Description

We are currently looking for experienced Mortgage Loan Originators to work in multiple office locations in Utah and Washington.

Responsibilities

Increase company mortgage loan production by developing business contacts, making sales calls to prospective customers, attracting and converting leads, completing mortgage loan applications with clients, approving mortgage loans by examining application and supporting documentation, and working with processing, underwriting, closing and funding staff to ensure completion.   Update job knowledge and maintain license by participating in Continuing Education opportunities, reading professional publications and market/industry news, and maintaining personal networks.

Qualifications

2+ years Mortgage Loan Origination experience. Licensed Mortgage Loan Originator through the National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS).  Experience working in Encompass 360 (Loan Origination System) and excellent computer skills. Strong communication, organization, and time management skills.  Dependable, team player with a positive attitude and excellent work ethic who is willing to work with others.  Demonstrated sales and financial skills.  Strong verbal and written communication skills.  Quick learner, ability to retain information easily.
