Loan Originator

Job Description

We are currently looking for experienced Mortgage Loan Originators to work in multiple locations.


Increase company mortgage loan production by developing business contacts, making sales calls to prospective customers, attracting and converting leads, completing mortgage loan applications with clients, approving mortgage loans by examining application and supporting documentation, and working with processing, underwriting, closing and funding staff to ensure completion.   Update job knowledge and maintain license by participating in Continuing Education opportunities, reading professional publications and market/industry news, and maintaining personal networks.


2+ years Mortgage Loan Origination experience. Licensed Mortgage Loan Originator through the National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS).  Experience working in Encompass 360 (Loan Origination System) and excellent computer skills. Strong communication, organization, and time management skills.  Dependable, team player with a positive attitude and excellent work ethic who is willing to work with others.  Demonstrated sales and financial skills.  Strong verbal and written communication skills.  Quick learner, ability to retain information easily.


Job Description

We are currently looking for an experienced Mortgage Underwriter to work at our corporate office.


Evaluates loan risk by verifying loan application information against loan criteria guidelines and standards. Manage approval and condition queue to maintain company published service standards. Publish underwriting dispositions, clear conditions, analyze change requests. Underwrite a loan package to investor/agency guidelines. Maintain thorough understanding of loan documents, loan products, and underwriting guidelines. Communicate with originator, Branch Managers, Loan Processors per service standards and answer underwriting and loan product questions. Complete Underwriting Certifications, as necessary


3-4 years experience as mortgage underwriter. FHA Direct Endorsement. VA SAR Designation. Strong communication, organization, and time management skills. Team player with a positive attitude willing to working with others. Attention to detail. Strong computer skills. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Underwriting Manager

Job Description

We are currently looking for an experienced Underwriting Manager to work at our corporate office.


Manage and mentor the team of underwriters and assist in making decisions. Stay abreast of new agency and investor guidelines. Ensure compliance with all applicable state, local and federal rules, regulations, and laws. Answer questions and offer alternatives relative to the guides and procedures needed to qualify for loan programs. Communicate written policy and procedures on guideline changes or credit policy. Manage work load in the underwriting department to ensure accurate and timely decisions. Responsible for training of underwriting team and other operation teams. Provide timely responses to pre-funding and post-closing audits. Responsible for reviewing rejected loans from investors or agencies and find solution for purchasing

Experience and Educational Requirements

5+ years of experience in the mortgage industry. 5+ years of underwriting management experience. Strong interpersonal skills. Exceptional written and oral communication skills. Strong organization and time management skills. Team player with a positive attitude willing to work with others in Production and Operations Center. Strong attention to detail. Fast paced individual. Understanding of secondary market and agency guidelines (FNMA/FHLMC/FHA/VA/USDA). Excellent understanding of FHA / HUD, VA, and USDA requirements including minimum property standards. LAPP / SAR and DE delegated. Effective analytical and mathematical skills. Strong understanding of mortgage process flow of 1-4 family, condo from processing to closing. Self-starter, self-reliant, dependable, ability to work within and meet specific time constraints. Experience with AUS (LP/DU/GUS/TOTAL Scorecard) and expert knowledge of mortgage insurance. Proficient in running and analyzing AUS (DU/LP/DO/GUS/TOTAL Scorecard). Excellent communication skills. Experience with Encompass, Internet Explorer, Microsoft Office/Excel/Word, GUS, and FHA Connection.
