Jim was pulled kicking and screaming into the Mortgage industry in 2005 by a good friend and the rest is history. He has worked for both small and large mortgage companies and found the right fit at Graystone, because of the personal feel and human connection. He has a genuine concern for his clients and is extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of Mortgage lending.
Jim is also a Veteran and currently serves in the Utah Army National Guard as part of the 300th Military Intelligence Linguist Brigade. He speaks fluent Spanish, Portuguese and Thai. If you get an out of office reply he just may be off serving our country as an interpreter in Thailand, or some other exotic location.
Jim is married to Nora, the best processor you’ll ever meet (if you have the opportunity). They have six children, ranging from 21-11. They keep busy with music concerts, sports, dance and every other activity the kids can think of. Their children have great resume’s as well, with two international ambassadors of music, a Sterling Scholar and all six on the honor role at their respective schools.
When he isn’t chasing kids, helping clients or working with the soldiers, he enjoys restoring classic and custom cars. His current project is a 1947 Chevy Fleetmaster and he also races around in his 1972 Oldsmobile cutlass convertible. He serves his community and fellow veterans through several projects every year and Volunteers with Utah Honor Flight, A Soldiers Home and Yellow Ribbon. He enjoys skiing in the winter and other outdoor sports.
